Colour: Vintage gold
Nose: Initially peppery, leading into a fragrant, bright summer fruit note, with fresh strawberries, blackcurrants, water melon, lemon zest, orange sherbet and ripe bananas. A touch of water reveals a nice tropical passion fruit note and fresh vanilla.
Palate: A whirlwind of tropical fruit: sweet orange blossom, mango, passion fruit, flambéed banana and vanilla ice cream. The sweetness is delicious and well balanced, with plenty of juicy freshness, ripe orchard fruit and a creamy mouthfeel. A dash of water and the smoothness develops further, with fresh patisserie cream and white chocolate.
Finish: Nicely warming and creamy, with light toasted oak, vanilla essence and a touch of pears poached in white wine.
Overall comment: A classic-yet very refined, easy-drinking Speysider, with wonderful freshness and balance.
